Maybe it’s a good thing this place isn’t too close to work, as I’d be here every day. Go earlier than peak lunch hour to skip the rush and enjoy fresh seasonal (and generous portion) dishes at a reasonable value. As part of an architect firm office of David Chipperfield, the building is probably the coolest setting for winter lunch but you can also sit in the garden when it’s warmer.

What started off as a canteen for David Chipperfield Architect's office has turned into a restaurant open for the public beyond anything describable as a canteen. Alluding to its namesake, the Kantine is impeccably designed and the food is amazing. Changing daily menus offer only a couple of salads, soups and mains but caters to vegans, vegetarians and carnivores alike. There's also an outdoors area for the warmer and sunnier days. Oh, and if you need anything else to persuade you - a main doesn't break the bank at €9!Definitely coming back here!
